This vast and diverse ecosystem is home to numerous botanical treasures that have been used for centuries by indigenous communities for their skincare and haircare benefits, grown in some of the most rich and fertile soil in the world.

AÇAÍ:
Let's start with açaí... A small purple fruit that is packed with antioxidants like resveratrol and other polyphenols that are an amazing option in natural products, because they are less sensitive to light and powerfully effective. These powerful compounds help protect the skin from environmental damage and promote a youthful complexion. Açaí also contains essential fatty acids, which nourish and hydrate the skin, leaving it soft and supple. Açaí can even help regulate and balance oil production whether dry or oily. Its very anti-inflammatory and excellent for sensitive skin and excellent for anti-aging. Its so nutrient rich that it is a diet staple and daily meal in Indigenous Amazon communities. BREU BRANCO:
Breu Branco AKA Brazilian Frankincense is the copal/ resin of the Amazonian Proteum heptaphyllum (Breuzinho) tree found in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Its distinct scent is both calming and uplifting, commonly used in Brazilian fragrances. Conveniently, it also keeps insects away. Also known in Brazil for its spiritual and ceremonial purposes, therapeutic properties and rich cultural history. Often used for smoke cleansing, similar to white sage and palo santo that are becoming endangered due to western over harvesting. Breu Branco is an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative. Buriti oil is yet another sustainable gem from the Brazilian Amazon and a Beladoce Botanicals favorite. Derived from the fruit of the Buriti palm tree native to Brazil, this oil is rich in beta-carotene, vitamin E, and fatty acids that act like a gentle but powerful natural retinol, similar to trending ingredient Bukachiol.
It has powerful antioxidant properties that help protect the skin from free radicals and promote a healthy, radiant complexion. Buriti oil is also known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory effects, making it beneficial for sensitive and irritated skin.
When used on hair, it can repair and strengthen damaged ends or frizz, or to add shine, gloss and hydration to hair. Buriti oil, which gives Beladoce Sol oil it’s bright jewel toned orange, has the highest amount of naturally occurring retinol, and works to restore and protect. Squalane and grapeseed oil weightlessly hydrates without being heavy, and perfectly absorbing. The Buriti oil in Sol is ethically sourced and wild harvested in Brazil by Indigenous communities to ensure proper harvesting and care of the land.
CUPUAÇU BUTTER:
Another remarkable ingredient is Cupuaçu, similar to cacao in the same family with a similar creamy, almost chocolate like scent. The fruit resembles a melon and has a creamy texture, often used in juice, ice cream, deserts and candy making, as well as skincare. Cupuaçu butter is extracted from the seeds of this fruit and is known for its moisturizing and emollient properties. It helps to improve the skin's elasticity and provides deep hydration, making it an excellent ingredient for dry and mature skin. Its excellent for repairing the lipid layer and lock in hydration. Part of what makes this butter so exceptional in skincare is it's water absorption capacity... surpassing lanolin by over 200%. Its unique ability to retain moisture and prevent dehydration from the skin rejuvenates and locks in natural moisture and elasticity while helping repair the natural moisture barrier with its naturally occuring ceramide building blocks.
DRAGON'S BLOOD SAP:
Sangue de dragão/dragon's blood sap, not to be confused with the incense, is a fascinating ingredient! Incredibly healing and often referred to as nature's botox, you can read an extended expanation of dragon's blood here.
To clarify, dragon's blood refers generally to the blood red sap of various trees. Used in incense, dye, and skincare, depending on the origin. The croton lechleri tree's dragons blood is utilized in skincare for healing and collagen benefits.
The traditional application is medicinal, applied directly from a cut in the tree... because of the healing properties and latex like ability to create a protective liquid bandaid over the wound. MANGO BUTTER:
Nourishes skin with the power of omega fatty acides. Mango butter effectively prevents inflammation and itching from dry skin. Its natural fatty acids act as emollients to soften skin and guard against tight, itchy dryness.The unsaturated fatty acids and squalene found in mango butter help repair skin's barrier. Oleic acid, an omega-9 in mango butter, is naturally present in our lipid layer.
MARACUJÁ:
Maracujá is Brazilian passionfruit! Passionflower/fruit is a shallow rooted vine type plant that grows in warm, tropical climates. Also known for its iconic, unique passionflower. Passionfruit of the passionflower is an antioxidant rich superfood. It also contains a compound called passiflorin...known to calm, reduce anxiety and stress.
Its oil contains the aromatic substance passiflorin and is rich in a very important compound in aiding skin build ceramides, linoleic acid. This means it’s great for helping skin repair and rebuild the natural lipid barrier layer, as well as quite anti inflammatory.
The oil is also highly antioxidant rich! This helps defend our skin against environmental free radical damage, as well as promote cellular renewal because of its naturally occurring high vitamin A + C content. TONKA BEAN/CUMARU SEED:
Tonka bean is a very unique ingredient that has gained popularity in the beauty industry for its unique fragrance and versatile properties. Derived from the seeds of the Dipteryx odorata tree of the Brazilian Amazon. Tonka bean offers a rich and warm aroma that adds depth and complexity to fragrances. It has become a world revered fragrance note for its unique, depth, and creamy vanilla-sandalwood like warmth.

TUCUMÃ OIL:
Tucumã fruit comes from a native Brazilian Amazon palm, and the oil comes from the nutrient rich pulp.
This oil is incredibly rich in beta-carotene, which acts as a gentle yet effective retinl, perfect for sensitive skin. Contains high levels of vitamins A and omega 3, 6 and 9. It actually acts as an inhibitor of melanin biosynthesis, which makes it an ingredient if choice when addressing melasma, sun and age spots.
